DATES FOR THE DIARY.

On the 12th July we have the Parish Fete. Again an event not to be missed. The Ladies would welcome any suitable items to sell. Also we have books of Raffle Tickets for this event which need to be sold, the more we sell the more much needed money we will raise. Apart from the main raffle Mr.Jim Pritchard is raffling a very nice water colour picture of LLanthony Abbey, these tickets are £1.00 per strip. Unfortunately because of Health and Safety Regulations we are unable to store any items for sale at the Fete in Church. We are hoping to store any items in one room in the Vicarage for one week prior to the event. All unsold items must be disposed of on the day.
We also need to ensure the store room in the Hall is kept clear of any items that are not stored in cupboards or suitable containers, and that the tops of the cupboards are also kept clear.
Friday 5th September is the day chosen for the Induction of Father Mark, time 7.30.p.m. It will be an unique occasion, and therefore could attract a lot of interest. I gather the guest list could be quite impressive. The bun fight afterwards will be along the lines of the last Induction service, a finger buffet doing away with the need for laying out tables to sit at. Space could well be at a premium. Mrs.Roz. Watt has kindly agreed to co-ordinate the refreshments.
Sunday 7th September is the Feast of Dedication, it is 10years since we opened the new building, so to celebrate that fact and to welcome our new Priest, there will be a informal buffet lunch following morning service, and an afternoon tea following Evensong on that day both of which I hope will give you the parishioners the opportunity to meet with and talk to Father Mark on a more informal basis, as on the Friday it will be rather chaotic.
Obviously with July and August being traditionally holiday months,
there is not much happening. I feel we shall be busy enough getting ready for September,
